Texas State High School Bowling

The Texas High School Bowling Program provides competition between high schools for boys and girls on a varsity and junior varsity level.


Mission

Provide an opportunity to high school students to represent their school and community in interscholastic competitive bowling.


District Competition

Schools are assigned to districts which are operated by a district coordinator.  There are 28 districts in Texas which conduct competitions on the varsity, girls varsity and JV levels.  

Regional Tournament

At the end of District Competition, the top Varsity and Girls Varsity teams along with the top boys and girls in each district advance to one of nine Regional Tournaments.

State Tournament

The DIck Atkinson State Championship Tournament crowns Varsity and Girls Varsity Team champions and individual champions who qualify through the Regional Tournaments.

All District Competition

Each of the 28 districts can assemble a team of its top boys and girls and compete in this All DIstrict Tournament for bragging rights and scholarships held each year in College Station.
