Dick Atkinson Memorial Scholarship

PURPOSE: The scholarship presented by the Dick Atkinson’s Memorial Scholarship is designed to encourage young bowlers graduating from a Texas high school to pursue some form of higher education. The scholarship can be used for any form of higher education including four-year college two-year college, technical institutes, or trade schools.

AMOUNT: The Dick Atkinson Memorial Scholarship will present the one boy and one girl with a check for $2500 to be used at the student’s school of choice.

REQUIREMENTS: Eligible applicants would meet the following requirements:

• Accepted for admittance at a school of higher education.
• Be a graduating senior.
• Should have an established vocational goal.
• Have a minimum grade point average of 2.7.
• Must be a member of the TBCA: Texas High School program and participated in the program for a minimum of 2 years.

SELECTION: A committee consisting of representatives from the TBCA Texas High School Program and two members of the Dick Atkinson family will determine the selection.
